DBAF:Lagos to host broadcasting forum next week

Media reports reveal that Lagos State will next host this year's edition of the Digital Broadcasting Africa Forum organised by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO).

According to the organizers, the event will build on the successful Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum Africa events that have held over the last decade, and recognises the changes that have taken place in broadcasting during that time.

"These events have helped policy makers, regulators and operators from the African broadcasting and ICT sectors to map out their strategies for digital switchover," CTO stated, according to a Nigeria CommunicationsWeek report.

The Digital Broadcasting Forum 2016 will serve as an excellent opportunity for participants to learn from each other about successes in the field of digital broadcasting, as well as the challenges posed for the future, the report said.

Solutions to these challenges and the opportunities available for digital broadcasting will be discussed via interactive sessions led by global knowledge leaders. The audience will be made up of policymakers, regulators, broadcasters, content developers, network infrastructure providers, operators, equipment manufacturers and thought leaders.
